Add a player photo, team logo or tournament banner
Upload a profile photo, a team logo, or a tournament logo and banner so everyone who opens the link sees them, on any phone or browser.
On this page
A meet looks much more real when the house crests, the tournament banner and the players' faces show up. In SportnNote, every image you add is uploaded, so parents opening your shared link on another phone see it straight away. Images aren't kept only on your own device.
Before you start
- Your own photo: you need to be signed in. Only you can change your own photo.
- A team logo: you need to manage the team. That means you're its captain, vice-captain or a team admin, or you created it. See Who can edit a squad.
- A tournament logo or banner: you need to be one of the tournament's hosts.
- A match logo: you need to manage the match.
- Pick a clear image under 5 MB. A square image works best for logos and photos. For a banner, use a wide image (about three times as wide as it is tall).
Step by step: your profile photo
- Go to Profile.
- Tap your round photo (or your initials) at the top. It has a small 📷 badge.
- Choose a photo. On a phone you can crop it to a square.
- Wait a moment while it uploads. The photo looks faded until the upload finishes.
You can also change it from Edit profile: tap Add photo (or your current photo) at the top of the form, then tap Save profile.
Step by step: a team logo
- Open the team, then tap 👥 Squad · + Add.
- Tap ✎ Edit team.
- Tap Add logo (or the current logo, to change it) and pick an image.
- Tap Save to keep any other changes, such as the name or city. The logo is saved as soon as the upload finishes.
Step by step: a tournament logo and banner
- Open your tournament.
- At the top, tap + Add banner to add the wide banner. Tap the small square logo next to the tournament name to add or change the logo.
- Pick an image and wait for the upload to finish.
You can also add both when you create the tournament, or later from ⚙ Manage → Edit details. The banner and logo sit at the top of that form. See Create a tournament.
Step by step: a match logo
- Open the match.
- In the score header, tap the small square next to the sport name (it reads Add logo when empty, or tap the current logo to change it).
- Pick an image.
Common questions
Who can see the images?
Everyone. Tournament pages, match pages and profiles are public, so their images are public too. Don't upload anything you wouldn't put on a notice board.
It says "Couldn't save the image". What now?
The image goes back to what it was before, and nothing is half-saved. Common reasons:
- The file is over 5 MB. Pick a smaller one, or take a screenshot of it.
- You're not signed in. Sign in and try again.
- You no longer manage that team or tournament.
My old logo shows as a blank or initials. Why?
Some very old logos were saved only on the phone that added them, so nobody else could ever see them. They're now hidden instead of showing a broken image. Upload the logo again and it will show for everyone.
Can I add a photo for a player I added to my team?
Yes, if the player hasn't joined SportnNote themselves and you manage their team. See Fix a player's details.
If I delete my account, does the tournament lose its logo?
No. Deleting your account removes your own profile photo. Logos and banners you added for a tournament, team or club stay, because the other hosts still use them.
