Read the scorecard and career stats
What fall of wickets, partnerships, extras, maidens and the overs chart show, and what SR, Econ and Avg mean on a player's cricket profile.
On this page
The scorecard holds much more than the total. It shows when each wicket fell, which pair added the most runs, how the extras were given away, and which over turned the match. After the match, each player's figures are added to their cricket profile. This guide explains what each part means.
Before you start
- Anyone who can see the match can read its scorecard. You don't need to be signed in as a scorer.
- Open the match and tap the Scorecard tab. Tap a team's name to open or close their innings.
The batting table
- R runs, B balls faced, 4s and 6s boundaries, and SR strike rate.
- Under each name is how they got out, for example "c Arjun b Kabir", or "not out".
- A * after a name means not out. The bat symbol shows who is on strike during a live match.
- "Yet to bat" lists the rest of the side. Tap any name to open that player's profile.
Extras, total and fall of wickets
- Extras shows the total and how it was made up, for example "12 (b 2, lb 1, wd 6, nb 2, pen 5)": byes, leg byes, wides, no-balls and penalty runs.
- Total shows runs/wickets, overs and the current run rate (CRR).
- If bonus or minus runs were given, a "Bonus/deductions" line shows them, with reasons.
- Fall of wickets lists each wicket in order. "3-45 (Asha, 7.2 ov)" means the 3rd wicket fell at 45 runs, Asha was out, and it was the 2nd ball of the 8th over. Retired hurt isn't a wicket, so it isn't listed.
The bowling table
- O overs, M maidens, R runs, W wickets, 0s dot balls, and Eco economy (runs per over).
- Wides and no-balls bowled are shown under the bowler's name, for example "2wd 1nb".
- A maiden is a complete over by one bowler with no runs charged to them. Wides and no-balls spoil a maiden, but byes and leg byes don't. An over shared after a mid-over bowler change is never a maiden.
- If fielding notes were added, a line such as "Fielding: Ravi 1 drop · Asha 6 saved" follows. See Add penalty, bonus and minus runs, and fielding notes.
Partnerships and the overs chart
- Tap Partnerships to see each batting pair's runs and balls, with what each batter scored in it. A * means the pair is still batting. The bars make the big stands easy to spot.
- Tap Overs to see a bar for each over's runs. A mark on top of a bar means a wicket fell in that over. Tap a bar to see that over ball by ball, with the bowler and the score at the end of it, for example "Over 7 · Kabir · 9 runs · 54/2".
Career stats on a profile
- Open a player's profile.
- Under By sport, tap Cricket.
- You'll see Matches, Wins and Win rate, then three sections: Batting, Bowling and Fielding.
What the short names mean:
- Avg under Batting: runs divided by the number of times out. Not-outs don't count as an out, so a batter with 120 runs and 3 dismissals averages 40.00.
- SR under Batting: runs per 100 balls faced. 30 runs off 20 balls is a strike rate of 150.00.
- Highest: the best score. A * means not out.
- Econ: runs given away per over, counted in 6-ball overs.
- Avg under Bowling: runs given away per wicket. Lower is better.
- SR under Bowling: balls bowled per wicket. Lower is better.
- Best: the best bowling in one match, for example "3/12": most wickets, then fewest runs.
- Under Fielding: Catches, Stumpings, Run outs, and the fielding notes (Drops, Runs saved, Runs missed).
A "–" means there's nothing to work it out from yet, for example a bowling average with no wickets.
Common questions
When do career figures update?
The full figures are saved when the match ends. If the match is later corrected, the profile is updated too. See Correct a finished match and Fix a past ball.
Why does an older player's average look odd?
Matches scored before the detailed stats arrived only saved runs and wickets. Those still count in the totals, but averages and rates use only matches with full figures. So an early player can show many runs but an average worked out from only a few matches.
