Once a tournament exists, organisers need to add teams, set the format, schedule matches, assign scorers and fix the table. These tools live in one place: the ⚙ Manage hub. A short checklist at the top tells a new organiser what to do next.

Before you start

  • You must be a host of the tournament. Only hosts see ⚙ Manage and the Manage tab.
  • If you haven't created the tournament yet, start with Create a tournament.

Open the hub

  1. Open the tournament.
  2. Tap ⚙ Manage at the top right.

This opens the tournament's Manage tab (you can also tap the tab itself). You land here automatically right after you create a tournament.

Step by step: follow the setup checklist

At the top of the hub, a card says "Tournament created — 3 quick steps". Tap a step to go straight to the right screen:

  1. Add teams: at least 2 teams take part. For a tournament of individuals, this step reads Add players. See Add teams to a tournament.
  2. Choose the format — league, groups or knockout: this sets the points table and how fixtures are drawn. Saving the sport's settings screen ticks it off, even if you keep the suggested format.
  3. Schedule matches: auto-generate fixtures, import a spreadsheet, or add matches one by one. See Import a schedule.

Steps tick off by themselves as you do them, in any order. The checklist disappears once all three are done. To put it away sooner, tap Hide. Hiding only applies on that phone or browser.

While setup isn't finished, hosts also see a link on the Info tab that shows how many steps are done out of how many, for example "Setup 1/3 · Continue ›". It takes you back to the hub.

What's in the hub

The hub is grouped so you can find things quickly.

Tournament

  • Edit details: name, dates, sports, registration, grounds, rules, contact. Delete is here too.
  • One row per sport, such as "Football — format & points": format, points for a win, draw and no result, and tie-breakers.
  • Points table: see the group tables and adjust points. See Points table and adjustments.

Teams

  • Participating teams: add, invite, confirm, check in and withdraw teams.
  • Contingents: only for multi-sport medal meets.

Matches

  • Schedule a match: one fixture at a time.
  • Auto-generate fixtures: league, groups or knockout.
  • Import schedule (spreadsheet): paste from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV.
  • New series / tie: several matches between the same two teams.
  • Share fixtures on WhatsApp and, on the web, Print fixtures. These show once there are upcoming matches.

People

  • Scorers & officials: the tournament's scorers and referees, and Assign scorers to fixtures. See Scorers and officials.
  • Hosts: who runs the tournament. Tapping it takes you to the Info tab, where hosts are listed and added.

More

  • Player reminders: use each player's own reminder settings, or set the same reminder times for everyone in this tournament.
  • Ownership & history: who owns the tournament, and transfer it to yourself or an organisation.

Common questions

I'm a co-organiser but I don't see Manage. Why?

You haven't been added as a host. Ask a host to add you on the tournament's Info tab, by mobile number or name.

I hid the checklist. How do I get it back?

Hiding is saved on that device only. Open the tournament on another phone or browser to see it, or just use the rows in the hub. They do the same things.

The format step is ticked but I never changed anything. Is that right?

Yes. Opening the sport's settings and saving means you accepted the format shown, usually a league. You can change it later from the sport's row in the hub. It's best to settle it before you generate fixtures.

Where do I record walkovers or end a match early?

On the match itself, not in the hub: 🏁 End match… on the Scoring tab has a 🏳 Walkover choice for hosts. See End a match early.
